About Me

Wesley Morris is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Education Policy at the University of Maryland, College Park. His research examines the early career teacher pipeline, with particular attention to how education policies shape teachers’ labor market decisions, their instructional effectiveness, and the diversity of the teaching workforce. His current work focuses on teacher compensation, educator preparation, and teacher scholarships and financial aid. Wesley is committed to bridging the divide between research, policy, and practice, and works closely with policymakers and practitioners to ensure his research is both informed by their experience and applicable to the complex decisions they navigate every day.
